Tonight at Leaders' Night, Joel used verses from Joshua, "Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:6-9 NLT) to teach something powerful!
That is never to stray from the command to be strong and courageous! And that success in everything we do comes from obeying the instructions given by Moses. This instruction book is the bible and the Word of God is what keeps us strong and courageous and successful!
Then when I got home, I read Nehemiah 2-3~ I can't believe it, it's like a follow up!
It's like a promise to claim from God! That if we obey his commands and live it out, returning to Him, He will gather back the scattered to bring us back to the promised land!!!
Before asking the question, Nehemiah first shot up a prayer for the situation and conversation before replying to it. God is first on his mind!
The king here is like a picture of the Heavenly King, the Father! We asked for only this much, but He would go out of His way to give us not only what we asked but more than enough, overflowing results! And the army and officers are a reminder of God's grace. He sent His angel army to protect us, wherever we go!
They verbalised their agreement and conclusion~ and they put that into action!
Harmony is the most powerful thing that we need to possess in order for a ministry to grow!
