Day 4 - 21 nov 2009

it was a rather tiring but fulfilling day. it opened our hearts and minds to the people who were living in poverty, there in Davao. we learnt not to waste food and resources, as well as to not take what we have for granted. this was all made possible, just by a 2 day visit to the Gawad Kalinga (GK) site. today was the first day there and we were all moved by the children there. we went there to help paint newly built houses for their owners:) we were all splashed with paint and dirt from the ground but the experience we had benefited so much more! next was lunch at the site, packed lunch. as soon as we were done, we were to get on our feet and work. afterall, we only did the first coating!:D after a day of hard work, it was time to leave and go back to the hotel to wash up. went for dinner outside of the hotel and then we're back for our daily learning and sharing sessions.
