You must not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you are called to testify in a dispute, do not be swayed by the crowd to twist justice.
(Exodus 23:2 NLT)
-> Tell the truth and testify according to the truth. We shouldn't just do what others tell us knowing that it may be wrong.
Friends should help one another in times as such and be supportive. We shouldn't be the ones telling our friend to do wrong but the one to help them to avoid that wrong doing. It's so easy to fall into the temptations of the world through peer pressure. That's why we should turn our eyes to the Lord and keep them fixed on Him that He will deliver us from these temptations. He will bring us out of them if He brought us to them. For He is already where we are going to go. He will walk along side us if we just ask Him and not deny Him.
Our Lord is a God who listens to everyone and ministers to them. He longs for a personal relationship with us. He isn't a God who is seen as terrifying, who sits on the throne waiting to throw down bolts of lightning on us if we do wrong. He is a God of grace and mercy. A God of love for He is love. And He displayed it when He sent His only and most precious Son, Jesus to die for us on the cross. That we may have eternal life if we believe in our hearts that He died for us and that God has raised Him from the dead.
